Mohamed Matar's Report

On Wednesday 8th2013, Mohamed Matar talked about his report; Mr Hedley. Mohamed Matar’s hobby is spear fishing. Every week Mohamed goes with his friends and family to the sea for spear fishing. He told us the name spear gun that is used is called the rife. He said that the first time he went spear fishing was at the age of 7, and now he considers it a hobby. Mohamed explains what kind of fish he caught, he caught a lot of fish but the most he caught are grouper, King Fish and Mah iMahi. He told us how to use the rife and how to aim with it, he also told us where to hit a fish, either its head or its back, the reason he hits the fish on its back is because it doesn’t make the fish drown to the sea floor which will be hard to get.  He told us the biggest fish he caught was a grouper, which was half his size. The grouper he caught was the largest and heaviest fish he caught, but it is not the longest one. His most favorable location to spear fish is ras ghurab; its location is a good place to find a large amount of fish such as the grouper.  Mohamed Matar ended his report and a few class mates asked him some questions.
